The Swoo-Beh Project is an adventurous improvising group led by uninhibited vocalist Edel Meade, providing a vehicle for her unique concept of modern vocal performance. Drawing on everything from live radio samples and controversial newspaper reports to her own original poems and lyrics, she integrates her voice fully into the soundscapes of her music putting the notion of the conventional jazz singer to bed. Expect to hear catchy grooves and free-wheeling improvisations from this dynamic young group featuring five of the most forward-thinking young musical minds on the Irish contemporary jazz scene.
